Orange is the new Green!

Nautical Ventures is leading the charge in the retail sector by searching out and acquiring new product lines committed to creating a harmonious balance between nature and nautical. The push for similar advances in green power and construction has been going on in the marine industry for quite some time, with varying degrees of accomplishment depending on the product.

Nautical Ventures is your official Electric Boat headquarters for Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. We can help you navigate the ins and outs of pairing the right electric motor to your electric boat. We’ve been helping boaters in Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach stay on the water with trouble-free enjoyment for over 30 years.

Danish architect and designer Carl Kai Rand was fixated on the idea that he could build a better boat. He wanted to reinvent the powerboat to incorporate the charm with the feel of the environment in which the boat moves. Thus, the electric Rand Picnic Boats were born, where Scandinavian form follows function, but with an “edge.” Here environmental sustainability is a key concern of the developer. “The hull composite is formed from a material made from recycled plastic bottles and windmill blades,” boasts the 31-year-old Rand, who notes his boats are "unsinkable.” The wood used for the boat deck is provided by the Norwegian company Kebony, who developed a technology that enhancing the properties of sustainable softwoods with a bio-based liquid, so that the wood is replaced by permanent premium properties.

The elegant, minimalist design, features a table that can be quickly converted into a sunbathing area for sun-seekers and seats up to ten people. The ease of operation takes into consideration the desire for a leisurely boat trip with friends or family where the driver can be engaged with guests safely. But the best part: the emission-free, quiet, fast acting electric motor allows the boat to be used in many waters that prohibit gas powered motors, and produces a top speed of 21 mph. With up to 16 hours of battery life before the need to recharge, the Rand Picnic Boat provides yet another “edge” for the eco-conscious boater.

Canadian Electric Boats

Take a good look at the Bruce 22 – a retro-styled, 5-passenger, 41 mph electric speedboat modeled after the iconic boat designs of the Italian Riviera. Form follows function follows form, in a 22-foot electric boat package that has it all. Speed, economy, quality, style, range and minimal maintenance all come together on both the 5-passenger or 8-passenger models. A state-of-the-art Panasonic UCM Powerphase Pro 100 motor propels either model with 258 ft. pound a torque to a blazing 41-MPH! With runtime of up to 8-hours on a single charge, you can enjoy a full day of boating for about 50 cents. Real mahogany, carbon fiber inserts, and luxurious upholstery adorn the interior and deck of these boats. F-RIB

While serving as an officer with the British Special Forces, Steve Bruce came up with the idea for a better rigid inflatable boat that relies on stealthy electric power for an efficient propulsion system. But his idea didn’t stop there, he also wanted to make it compact, easy to stow, portable and versatile.

It is easy to row, easy to stow, safe and fast with an electric engine. Space-saving in a boat, vehicle, or motorhome, take it anywhere in the world to discover distant waters. They are used in rescue organizations, by firefighters and EMT’s, and military operations which need a boat with small dimensions and quickly inflates in an emergency.

The F-RIB can be assembled and inflated in less than 5 minutes with no hassle or extra parts to worry about. Simply fit the two bolts and inflate. Unlike their soft bottom cousins, these compact inflatable boats have a rigid fiberglass hull making them very resistant to wear and tear.

Torqeedo

Founded in 2005, Torqeedo pioneered the field of water based electromobility. Today they are market leaders delivering clean, electric power to over 50 countries on 5 continents offering outboards, inboards, electric motors and hybrid drive systems ranging from 1 to 80 hp.

Torqeedo’s business philosophy is simple… sustainability unites people all around the world. They believed electric motors would become increasingly important in the future due to global population growth, the growth of the middle class around the world, limited oil reserves and growing efforts to limit global warming.

In contrast to combustion engines, Torqeedo drives do not discharge any exhaust into the water. There is no water contamination as a result of refueling. No oil enters the water from a leaking lubrication system. They have an exemplary carbon footprint. There is no smell, no noise.
